Okay, so I was a little blue due to the last post and in need of something upbeat. The commenters had indicated there were good things to be had post 1987, reasons for me to have hope.
I stumbled on the following and found it quite moving. Especially when Jerry sings “Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own” (a little past 5 minutes in, but do yourself a favor and watch it from the beginning).
I am sad that I willfully missed out on seeing a moment like this live.

Interesting, I was at this show too. Just a note, Bruce used to play with the dead when ever they were in DC at least in the late 80′s and stepped in to play with the band after Brent died. He helped ease Vince into being the new keyboard player. Jerry always seemed happy when Bruce played. I was fortunate to have seen the band numerous times when Bruce would open/sit in before Brent died. They were good times/good music.
Bruce had a dead cover band when he was young…was a deadhead before he had The Range. Glad you liked the Giants show.
